Mother’s Day 2017

Another Mother’s Day weekend been and gone.

As Helyn and Rhys were going to their dad’s on Sunday I celebrated Mother’s Day a day early.  Was given breakfast and a cuppa tea in bed followed by presents and cards.  Rhys bought me my favourite musical in BluRay (Miss Saigon) and the girls put their money together and bought me a gorgeous necklace.  Each of them made me a card.

In the afternoon Helyn and I watched a couple of films together, which was nice.

Then Joe cooked a lovely roast port dinner, which went down really nicely.

On Sunday Joe rang the pub up the road to see if there were any tables for lunch.  We were told if we came down early enough then we would be OK to be seated.

So Neil picked Helyn and Rhys up at 11.30am.

Sun was shining and Joe, Jayne and myself walked down to The Green Post in Portsmouth.

We were greeted by a lovely lady who wished me a very Happy Mother’s Day.

We ordered our meals and waited.

It was with us within 15 minutes, I had a lovely beer battered fish and chip meal, Jayne had fish fingers and chips followed by chocolate brownies and Joe went for the Giant Mixed Grill.

Wow, when it arrived it was huge.  We tucked into our dinners and thoroughly enjoyed it. One of the best meals out in a long time.

We then left to come back home.
