Jayne was playing out in the garden when she came across, or should I say her daddy came across a black beetle just sat in the middle of the pathway. Whenever we went passed it, he would raise his front legs up. Jayne knelt down to see what it was, at first we thought it was a scarab type beetle, but we decided to do some research. Whilst researching her older brother was flicking through a program on the telly and Jayne looked up and said ‘that was in the garden’ and sure enough, it was the exact same beetle, Jayne sat engrossed finding out all about the Dung Beetle. It seems to like our garden as she has seen it a few times now, just crawling across the path. Jayne sits on a chair and watches.
Sun has been shining for us so far this July and Jayne loves it. She is outside most mornings playing on her scooter and creating dinosaur scenarios and anyone who knows Jayne knows how much she loves her dinosaurs and can tell you anything about them :).
Talking of dinosaurs, we signed up to Toucan art packs which are sent through every two weeks, each pack is full of things to do in a different theme, the first one was a pirate theme, and how to create the perfect treasure map. The second was a princess theme and the one that came through this morning was a ‘Dinosaur’ theme. In this pack you a dinosaur book, stickers, a clay fossil mould to make your own fossil and a mould to make your very own dinosaur egg, when Jayne saw this she was so excited so guess what our first big project will be? Watch this for more photos.
