My guest today is author Eva Gordon, please help me to make her feel welcome.
Hello Eva, let’s start with you telling us a little about yourself including where you are from?
I am from the San Francisco Bay Area, but because of my husband’s new job we now reside in Dallas, Texas.
I was a former biology teacher turned author. I write genre bending paranormal/fantasy novels with a strong romantic element. Alpha heroes and brilliant feisty heroines. HEA with a kick. Erotic paranormal romance to steampunk to epic fantasy. I love to create stories that combine my passion for mythology, romance, and werewolf or animal lore. I like to get my heart rate up so my stories have plenty of adventure, suspense and really bad guys/gals. Escape into my worlds, if you like fantastical worlds, steamy romance and page turning suspense.

What made you decide to write books?
I loved reading and while waiting for the next book in my favorite fantasy series, I decided to write my own stories. I caught the bug and it’s been non-stop ever since.
What is your writing schedule like? Do you strive for a certain amount of words each day?
After breakfast and coffee I get to work. I am most creative in the wee hours of the morning. I try to adhere to 2000 words per day or stay 2-3 chapters ahead of my critique partner.
Where do you write? Is there something you need in order to write (music, drinks)?
I write in my small office surrounded by books, and cool artefacts collected from around the world. I listen to music that fits my genre, story, or scene. I’m a coffee addict so I’m never without my coffee mug.
You have told us about the books you write, but what do you like to read when relazing?
I love reading just about any genre from historical to fantasy novels. Because of my background in science I enjoy reading non-fiction, especially those in natural history or about nature.
What is the hardest part of being an author?
I love writing, editing and I have one book lined up after another. The hardest part for me is marketing my many books. I promo when I can, but my hope is to someday pay someone to market my books.
Lastly, is there anything else you would like to add?
I love working with animals and when I’m not writing I enjoy volunteering at our local raptor center. Previously, I have volunteered at a wolf sanctuary and wildlife rescue sanctuary.
I also do workshops on animal lore, especially wolf and werewolf lore.
Thank you for being my guest today and good luck with future books.
